When people hear of Mine’s, they would instantly get reminded of their world-famous N1 BNR34 GT-R demo car, which conquered Tsukuba in under 1 minute and set a new course record at Streets of Willow. However, if you’re a Gran Turismo fan like me, you might recognize this lesser known Mine’s tuner car. Ladies and gentlemen, the Mine’s CP9A Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI.

What’s special about Mine’s cars is that, they’re fast street cars, a small peek inside the interior and you’ll find that it remains, relatively stock. However, don’t let the subtle exterior of this Evolution fool you, as under the skin hosts a plethora of upgrades to really make this Lancer Evolution an undisputed street machine.

Starting off with the engine bay, from a distance, you might see that it looks like a standard 4G63T, but, take a closer look and you’ll start to notice some improvements here and there. First, the standard TD05 turbocharger was replaced with a Mine’s original GT2835 turbo kit, improving the car’s overall response, while turbine gasses were flown via Mine’s very own intercooler pipe kit. Fuel supply remain standard with stock injectors, but, a Mine’s large capacity fuel pump was installed to squeeze in more fuel at a faster rate too. Exhaust gasses are spent thru a Mine’s 70mm frontpipe and goes thru a Mine’s sports catalytic converter before being fully removed by their Silence VX-PRO Titanium muffler. Cooling is provided using their aluminum radiator shroud, providing an 8°C decrease in overall engine temperature. Finally, engine management is managed via their home-brewed VX-ROM ECU, resulting in 410PS worth of power.
